Our Work
Disabled Motoring UK (DMUK) is the only charity in the UK that represents the interests of disabled drivers, passengers and Blue Badge holders. DMUK campaigns to tackle various issues such as Blue Badge abuse and misuse and the problem of inaccessible EV charging points. We also work with National Highways to ensure the nation’s Motorways and A-roads are accessible for disabled motorists.
Park Access – The Accreditation for Accessible Car Parks
DMUK also accredits accessible car parks through our Park Access Accreditation which we run in conjunction with the British Parking Association (BPA). The accreditation is awarded to each car park which meets our stringent accessibility criteria, and we now have more than 1,000 accredited car parks on the scheme. Park Access gives disabled motorists the confidence of knowing they are going to be able to park easily and safely when they reach their destination, and you can find out more about the accreditation and find accessible car parks here.
